Indonesia has ended informal fast-track processing for Limited Stay Permits (ITAS) and Permanent Stay Permits (ITAP) for foreigners. Authorities said applications are now processed under the regular timetable of about four to five days, with payments deposited into the state treasury.
The main change for applicants is the loss of access to an accelerated route: ITAS or ITAP can no longer be processed in one to three days through a special payment. According to the source, the regular processing time is about four to five days, and the procedure also involves manpower authorities. This matters especially to workers, sponsors, and agencies planning relocation or a start date in Indonesia, as they must allow for the standard timetable and avoid unofficial acceleration. Anyone applying for long-term status should take note, although the rule does not change the underlying eligibility requirements for ITAS or ITAP.
