Indonesia’s immigration authorities imposed entry bans on two Dutch nationals who organized the Entourage Run event in Bali. One held an employment ITAS and the other an investor ITAS; authorities said the event allegedly exceeded the activities permitted under their stay permits.
According to the source, the sanction was imposed not simply because of the individuals’ presence, but because their alleged activity did not match the terms of their ITAS permits. This indicates that employment or investor status does not automatically authorize foreigners to organize unrelated public events, and that violations may lead to a re-entry ban after departure. The issue is most relevant to foreigners conducting public, commercial, or community activities beyond the stated purpose of their stay. Other ITAS holders should pay attention to the scope of their permitted activities, but the case does not indicate a general tightening of rules for all permit holders.
