Tashkent International Financial Centre Framework Includes Investment Residency and Preferential Rules for Foreigners

Published: 26.08.2026

The law establishing the Tashkent International Financial Centre provides for investment tax residency, visas of up to five years, and the possibility of extending the status to family members. Foreign employees of centre participants would be exempt from work-permit requirements, while the centre is not expected to fully launch before 2027–2028.

According to the source, the Tashkent International Financial Centre is designed to create a future migration regime under which foreign investors may obtain tax residency and a visa for up to five years, potentially covering their families. Foreign employees of centre participants would not need standard work permits. Practical access will depend on the centre’s activation and adoption of its internal rules, with full launch expected no earlier than 2027–2028. The development is most relevant to investors, entrepreneurs, and skilled professionals considering long-term relocation to Uzbekistan, but it does not yet replace the country’s existing visa and migration procedures.
