Kenyan passport holders with valid residence permits from the United States or an EU member state became eligible for a UAE visa on arrival. The policy covers ordinary Kenyan passport holders and eligible family members, but not all Kenyan citizens.
The change facilitates short-term entry to the UAE for a specific group of Kenyan nationals who already hold residence permits in the United States or the EU. Eligible travelers no longer need to obtain the relevant entry visa in advance, but eligibility depends on their nationality, the validity of the foreign residence permit, and family-member conditions. It is not a general relaxation for all Kenyan citizens and does not change the rules for obtaining UAE residency. The measure is mainly relevant to Kenyans living in the U.S. or Europe who travel to the UAE for business, study, or other short-term purposes.
