Poland significantly increases fees for foreigners’ work permits

Published: 22.01.2026

From 1 December 2025, the fee for a work permit valid for up to three months rose from PLN 50 to PLN 200, while fees for longer permits and employer declarations increased from PLN 100 to PLN 400. The fee for a permit for a foreign worker posted to Poland rose from PLN 100 to PLN 800; the fee for seasonal-work permits remained unchanged.

According to the European Commission, most fees for processing foreign workers’ permits increased roughly fourfold from 1 December 2025. This raises the cost of hiring and documenting non-EU workers, especially for permits longer than three months or workers posted to Poland. The fees are non-refundable if the permit is not issued or the employer’s declaration is not registered, so the cost is incurred at the application stage. Workers and employers should include the new amounts in relocation budgeting; the seasonal-work permit fee remains unchanged.
