As part of its immigration reform, Poland introduced additional requirements for work permit applications, including copies of all completed passport pages and further declarations. From 1 December 2025, fees, forms and work-permit exemptions changed; fully electronic submission of residence applications through the MOS system was expected from January 2026.
According to sources, moving to Poland for work or study now requires more careful document preparation, while residence applications are being shifted to an electronic process. For employers and applicants, this means new forms, additional evidence and revised fees; student work-permit exemptions are also being restricted. Georgian nationals have been removed from the special-permission regime. This is important for anyone planning to apply for work, residence or employment alongside studies, because using outdated forms or requirements may complicate the application.
