Most foreign travellers must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online within three days before arriving in Malaysia. At entry, travellers must show the MDAC registration and verify their passport at immigration; certain nationalities are exempt.
According to the source, the MDAC is a required pre-arrival procedure for most foreigners entering Malaysia and has applied since 1 January 2024. Travellers should plan to complete the online form within the three-day window before arrival and retain the registration for presentation at the border. The requirement primarily affects tourists, new residents and other foreign entrants, so it is an important item to include in travel preparations, although certain nationalities are exempt.
