From 1 November, citizens of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, as well as permanent residents of those countries in Azerbaijan, will be able to apply through VFS Global in Baku for Lithuanian national visas and temporary residence permits. The option covers studies and other long-term purposes, but not short-stay Schengen visas.
From 1 November, Baku will become an available application location for Lithuanian long-stay procedures for citizens of three countries and permanent residents of those countries. According to the source, the arrangement covers studies and other long-term purposes, while short-stay Schengen visas are excluded. It creates an additional application channel following restrictions on outsourced services in several other countries. The change is particularly relevant to students and other long-term applicants who are permanent residents of Azerbaijan.
