Israel automatically extended by three months a range of visas and permits expiring between February 22 and March 31, 2026. The measure covers, among others, tourist, work, student, volunteer and temporary-residence visas; no application or visit to PIBA is required.
According to the source, holders of covered visas retain lawful status for an additional three months without visiting the immigration authority or filing an application. This allows affected foreigners to continue their stay, work or studies during disruptions to visa services, using their current visa or entry record as proof of status. The measure primarily affects foreign workers, students, tourists, volunteers, temporary residents and accompanying family members. Anyone whose visa expires within the specified window should factor the extension into their stay planning and coordination with an employer, educational institution or other sponsor.
