Medical examinations will be required for certain Cyprus immigration permits from 1 September 2026

Published: 11.08.2026

From 1 September 2026, third-country nationals applying for Cyprus Immigration Permits in categories A–F will have to submit test results for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV and syphilis. The requirement also applies to applicants’ dependants.

According to the source, medical testing will become a mandatory part of the documentation for applicants and dependants under Immigration Permit categories A–F. For relocation planning, this adds an examination and certificate stage that should be arranged before or during the application process. The rule primarily affects third-country nationals, including Russian citizens, applying for permanent or other immigration permits in these categories. Anyone planning to apply after 1 September 2026 should treat this as a new documentary requirement.
