Cyprus Pink Slip Requires Proof of Overseas Income and Accommodation

Published: 01.08.2026

To apply for a Cyprus Pink Slip, applicants must enter Cyprus, have accommodation and transfer at least €10,000 from abroad to a Cypriot bank account. They must also prove stable annual income from abroad of at least €24,000, increased by 20% for a spouse and 15% for each child; the status does not allow employment in Cyprus.

According to the source, the Pink Slip is intended for non-EU nationals who want to extend their stay in Cyprus without the right to work locally. Applicants need accommodation, proof of income from abroad and a transfer of funds to a Cypriot bank account, so the financial and housing arrangements must be prepared before applying. An absence of more than three consecutive months may prevent re-entry under the permit. This matters most to financially independent non-residents and families planning a long stay without local employment, and should be considered when choosing the residence route and planning travel.
