Belarus Extends Visa-Free Entry for Citizens of 38 European States Through 2026

Published: 09.12.2025

Citizens of 38 European states may enter Belarus visa-free through 31 December 2026 via international road and rail border crossings and airports. The standard limit is 30 days per entry and 90 days per calendar year; citizens of Poland, Lithuania and Latvia, as well as Latvian non-citizens, are subject to a stay limit of up to 90 days.

According to the source, the regime allows repeated border crossings, but total visa-free stay may not exceed 90 days in a calendar year. For short visits, this removes the need to obtain a visa in advance and provides access through international road, rail and airport routes. The measure is limited to 2026 and is designed for temporary stays, so people planning a longer relocation need to arrange an appropriate immigration status separately. The extension is most relevant to citizens of the 38 listed states considering a short visit, an initial trip or an assessment of residence options in Belarus.
