Visa-Free Regime for Citizens of 38 European Countries Extended Through 2026

Published: 10.12.2025

Belarus extended visa-free entry for citizens of 38 European countries until 31 December 2026. The permitted stay is generally up to 30 days, while citizens of Poland, Lithuania and Latvia, as well as Latvian non-citizens, may stay for up to 90 days; total visa-free stay cannot exceed 90 days in a calendar year.

For citizens of the covered European countries, the decision preserves visa-free access to Belarus through the specified border crossings and airports during 2026. It is useful for short visits and an initial move-planning trip, but it does not replace authorization for long-term residence and remains subject to stay limits. Travellers should pay particular attention to the 90-day annual cap and the separate rules for citizens of Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. The measure is relevant for entry planning, while a long-term relocation still requires a separate immigration status.
