Belarus Extends Visa-Free Entry for Citizens of 38 European States Through 2026

Published: 09.12.2025

Visa-free entry for citizens of 38 European states has been extended through 31 December 2026 under the existing conditions. Depending on nationality, stays are limited to 30 or 90 days, and total visa-free stay may not exceed 90 days per calendar year.

According to official sources, citizens of 38 European states may enter Belarus visa-free throughout 2026 via international road and rail checkpoints and through airports. The usual limit is 30 days per entry, while citizens of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Latvian non-citizens may stay for up to 90 days; total visa-free stay is capped at 90 days per calendar year. This facilitates a short exploratory move or transit, but does not itself replace a legal basis for work, study or permanent residence. The extension is particularly relevant to people from the listed countries planning to enter Belarus before arranging a longer-term status.
