Russian citizens may enter Armenia without a visa using a Russian national passport. Separate document requirements apply to children: those under 14 generally need a foreign passport, while being listed in a parent’s passport is also permitted.
According to the source, Russian citizens do not need to obtain a visa in advance for entry, preserving a low administrative barrier for travel and an initial move. Families should check children’s documents in advance because separate identification requirements apply to minors. The rule is most relevant to Russian citizens and families relocating with children. It is worth checking before travel, although visa-free entry does not replace obtaining a residence permit or another status for long-term residence.
