Argentina’s migration authority closed the Lomas de Zamora office

Published: 06.05.2026

Argentina’s migration office in Lomas de Zamora, Buenos Aires Province, has been closed. All procedures and cases previously handled there were transferred to the Almirante Brown delegation, which assumed territorial responsibility.

Sources describe a change in the location of migration services rather than a change to residence requirements. Applicants whose cases were handled by the Lomas de Zamora office must use the Almirante Brown delegation for subsequent procedures and enquiries. This may affect travel and appointment logistics but does not change the underlying right to apply. It is mainly relevant to people already dealing with the migration authority in this part of Buenos Aires Province.
